While most people in the HVAC industry start small, Marc Koret, Owner and Founder of All Points Mechanical, had other plans—exclusively taking on commercial and industrial projects right from the beginning. “I jumped right into it,” he muses. “I was young and cocky; I didn’t even know what I was working on. The supervisor brought me to a job and I was leaning on the chiller. And I was like, ‘Where is this chiller you talk about?’ And he said, ‘You’re leaning on it.’ “

A lot has changed since then. Marc recalls his 20-year journey that led to him running one of the region’s leading HVAC authorities. “I worked alongside my father for many years. That’s how I learned the business. He owned a coach bus company, and I started working on air conditioning with him; learned how to do HVAC. I wound up going to school for HVAC, and I got a job at the manufacturer McQuay. They hired me almost right out of school. I was there from 2000 to 2009, doing heavy commercial and industrial HVAC all over New York and Connecticut. My dad even came and worked with me there.”

By 2009, Marc had moved on to the Trane office in Albany where he ran IBM East Fishkill’s central utility plant, eventually transferring to Trane’s New York City office. By 2016, he decided the time was right to start his own business.

“We do a lot of work at Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow,” says Marc. “One of the reasons why we do so much work in the health care industry is that you have to be very meticulous, detail-oriented and clean. That is one thing that we stand on. When we leave the job, they don’t even know we were there.” He adds, “Our clients are our No. 1 priority, and we go the extra mile to make sure they’re completely satisfied. We are focused on building trust with our customer, which then builds great relationships.”

All Points Mechanical’s meticulous attention to detail has served as a key advantage during this tumultuous past year. As Marc explains, “A lot of our recent jobs have been installing HEPA filtration and bipolar ionization air purifiers around Westchester and New York City for offices and health care facilities, which is allowing staff to come back to their workplaces safely. We haven’t stopped for one second during this whole pandemic. At Phelps Hospital, the demand was tremendous. We were building isolation rooms for patients at an exponential rate, working as quickly as possible.”

Another major strength of the company is its ability to troubleshoot systems and identify air or water problems in buildings. “We get called in a lot to sort out issues and get to the bottom of things,” shares Marc.

As for future plans, Marc is looking towards adding new construction install work to the company’s range of services.
