Family-owned, full-service plumbing contractor Northern Mechanical, LLC is up for any challenge
With an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and a willingness to take on even the most challenging project, Northern Mechanical, LLC is a trusted source for plumbing and piping services across southeast Wisconsin. The union contractor’s team of professionals are licensed, insured and available 24/7 for emergency repairs. Specializing in commercial and industrial work for new buildings, Northern Mechanical promises accurate and aggressively priced quotes, high-quality workmanship, long-term solutions and timely services, while also helping homeowners in the area with plumbing and sewer services.
Plumbing and Piping Specialists
Owned and operated by master plumber Scott Voge, Northern Mechanical, in business since 2010, provides customer-focused plumbing services throughout the region. As Scott notes, “When you hire Northern Mechanical for plumbing and piping services, you’ll have highly trained professionals on the job who pride themselves on integrity and results. We always provide thorough and courteous execution.”
Northern Mechanical has made great strides since Scott founded the company over a decade ago. “It started as a one-man operation for the first three years, then I expanded to two, three and so forth. I have 13 employees right now. We’ve also grown into more diverse and complex types of projects. We currently do a lot of school work. And now, within this last year, we’ve expanded into doing boilers and chillers; we even have an estimator in the office who just attacks those.”
Characterizing the philosophy of Northern Mechanical, Scott relays, “We strive for more fit and finish where we care about quality over quantity. Our goal is to provide tremendous value, so even though our rate may not always be the lowest out there, our clients expect perfection. And that’s what we give them.”
Challenge Seekers
Not only does Northern Mechanical tend to seek out the higher-end projects, Scott says the company also likes to do “the weird stuff that nobody else wants to do.” He explains, “There’s a lot of thinking that has to go behind the more out-of-the-box work, and we’re up to that task. We enjoy the challenge.”
An example of an unconventional project Northern Mechanical has taken on is a huge septic system at Wilmot Mountain Ski Resort, which is run off a vacuum system that Scott says, “nobody wanted to touch. Northern Mechanical is replacing the entire system with Vaculines and other nontraditional components that aren’t normal to the plumbing eyes.”
Scott adds, “With a lot of septic systems, it can be difficult for people to get an accurate quote because it’s an unusual situation, hard to get to or something like that. But we’ll figure out a way to get equipment to a spot even when it looks like it can’t happen. We make it happen.”
Talent, Expertise and Customer Care
At the core of Northern Mechanical’s business philosophy is exemplary service. “We always try to answer the phone,” Scott says. “When someone contacts us for a service call, even on the weekend, it’s going to be an actual plumber answering the phone, not a call service or a message machine.”
Training for the future is another priority for Scott and his team. “We do our apprenticeships through the union. We have three right now and the rest of our workers are journeymen plumbers. We also have one HVAC guy here, too.” Scott adds that there’s a great deal of value in the union with education, etc., because there are so many more classes available to them. “We require our plumbers to go through additional training beyond what the state requires. That really sets us apart from our competition. We feel we’re more knowledgeable and so we can bring that expertise to our projects.”
Whether through community involvement—the company makes donations to the moose lodge in Kenosha, which gives back to homeless children—or going to the extra step in taking care of clients, North Mechanical always brings its A+ game.
